Linwood, NJ – July 31, 2019 – Hafetz and Associates will present a free Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) seminar on Wednesday, August 14 from 9-11 a.m. The seminar will take place at Rutgers Business School, Room 2071 at 100 Rockafeller Road, Piscataway Twp., NJ 08854.
“This seminar will explore struggles that employers face dealing with managing employee absences, statutory leaves, and reasonable accommodations,” said Scott Hafetz, president of Hafetz and Associates.
Abigail O’Connell will lead the seminar, discussing the major risks and liabilities employers face as a result of recent DOL/EEOC rulings and jury awards related to FMLA and ADA.
The seminar will also review the requirements of the FMLA, ADA, ADAAA, and other important leave and accommodation laws. Common scenarios will also be presented, highlighting the pitfalls of ineffectively administering FMLA and ADA leaves.
